Friday Morning - Finding your voice: Exploring the voice as a path to well-being, self-discovery, and creative expression with Lilli Unwin
You’ve always wanted to sing (or perhaps you only sing in the shower!) and are curious to explore what your voice can really do in a safe, supportive space.
Join singer-songwriter and singing teacher Lilli Unwin for a mindful, supportive session dedicated to discovering (or rediscovering!) your voice. This workshop is specifically designed for beginners or those who feel a little shy about singing and want to explore their sound in a safe, non-judgmental space.
The session will combine well-being-supportive singing experiences with the foundations of vocal technique in a highly practical way. You will learn the essential mechanics of posture and breath support, as well as vocal warm-ups that truly feel good. Together, we will learn a beautiful, simple song by ear (no preparation or sheet music reading required!).
Whether you are looking to refresh your understanding of singing or are stepping into your first vocal experience, you will leave feeling grounded, inspired, and more connected to your unique voice and creative expression. Total beginners and "non-singers" are warmly encouraged and invited to attend.
What to expect:
• A grounding voice practice to try at home.
• An introduction to the "how-to" of healthy vocal technique.
• A supportive group to share your singing journey with.
• The joy of learning a beautiful and simple song as a group.
