Wednesday Morning - Craft two beautiful Crepe Paper Anemones with Amanda Cox

Wednesday Morning – Craft two beautiful Crepe Paper Anemones with Amanda Cox

There is something quietly satisfying about creating a flower by hand.

In this workshop, we will make two crepe paper anemones - a delicate, sculptural bloom with softly ruffled petals and a vibrant centre. While the finished flower appears simple, it is made up of many small, thoughtful steps that come together with care.

Working with high-quality Italian crepe paper, you will be guided through each stage - shaping petals, building the centre, and assembling the flower so it feels both natural and expressive. It is a gentle, absorbing process, where attention to detail becomes part of the enjoyment.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. No experience is needed - just a willingness to slow down and enjoy making.

Traditionally, the anemone is known as a “windflower” - a symbol of anticipation and the fleeting nature of beauty. In creating one by hand, we gently shift that meaning - making something delicate that can remain, a quiet object to keep in the home as a reminder to be thoughtful, and to offer ourselves the same gentle care we so often give to others.

All materials are provided, however, please bring paper scissors with you.
You will leave with two finished crepe paper flowers and the knowledge to make more.
