Who are you now you're also a mother?
How do you relate to yourself? What identities are you committing too? And what does being a good mother actually mean to you?
Becoming a mother is a huge identity shift, but it doesn't stop at birthing your baby, your identity morphs and changes continually as your child grows. The moment you feel like you’ve found your feet, they have a developmental leap and you’re on your butt again.
Feeling lost, confused and not yourself can become regular companions to the many other hats you're now wearing... cleaner, chef, entertainer, teacher... and while one week you might be nailing it, others you probably feel like you’ve disappeared amongst the noise of everyone else’s needs.
In western culture we don't have the rites of passage or important rituals that help us make sense of our continually shifting sense of self, nor the spaces to connect with other mothers and really reflect on and share our personal journeys, it’s no wonder women question if they’re the only ones who feel this way.
In this 90 minute workshop we will be holding a deep conversation led by the groups experiences of motherhood and matrescence. This is where you can bring all of who you are right now, whether a confused hot mess, contented but curious, or anywhere in between, and together we will make space for what you're holding and who you're being called to be.
