Saturday Morning - The Mother off-load: A nourishing Mothers circle with Rowena

Saturday Morning - The Mother off-load: A nourishing Mothers circle with Rowena

Most mothers will have felt the inequality of the mother load at some point. Whether it's career sacrifices, lack of a village, or simply the division of labour within the home, it's no wonder mothers feel rage, resentment, and overwhelm. But when you talk about it… Well, you're just whinging. Don't you know you're meant to be grateful?! You have a healthy child/partner/income. We've never had it so good (apparently).

So how about this valentines you treat yourself (or another mama) to the most nourishing of all whinges? A valuable whinge if you will. A whinge of self-love that will leave you feeling lighter and more connected to the many overloaded mothers around you.

Whether you're struggling with your kid(s), feeling totally lost in yourself, or simply livid that your partner gets to ‘carry on as normal’, you'll find many heads nodding in understanding.

Expect a judgement free space where the mother load is deeply acknowledged, your strength is recognised (despite feeling like you're always dropping plates), and your heart can be replenished in sisterhood and community. More than just a space to talk, you will be guided through a deeply powerful reflection practice that honours your strengths and challenges, and the session will culminate on what you want to acknowledge and carry forward within your own motherhood journey.

More than just a mother circle, this is a space filled with wisdom, heart and experience to support you, whatever stage of motherhood you’re in. Come have an empowered offload, and leave behind some of the epic weight you carry with you through daily life. Who knows, it may just free you up to feel the love and appreciation that hallmark wants for us on this particular day.

All mothers welcome.

Biography

Hi, I’m Rowena.

Motherhood is my life’s work. Shaped by raising my own three children and by walking alongside women as a pregnancy, birth, and motherhood mentor, I am passionate about supporting women to reconnect with their inner wisdom as they move through matrescence.

My work is rooted in lived experience, deep listening, and the understanding that motherhood is not something to be mastered, but something to be felt, explored, and honoured. I hold space for women to gently unpack the stories they carry, trust their intuition, and make empowered, embodied choices that feel right for them and their families.

I believe that when mothers are supported — emotionally, energetically, and practically — families thrive. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and non-judgemental, meeting each woman exactly where she is on her journey.
