Monday Morning - Somatic Yoga: Returning to Rhythm with Charlotte Douglas

Somatic Yoga: Returning to Rhythm with Charlotte Douglas

Gentle, grounding practice for body, breath, and nervous system

 September: Returning to Rhythm
As we transition from the outward energy of summer into the quietening pace of autumn, we’ll explore practices that support steadiness, sensing, and inner attunement. Expect slow, nourishing movements, guided awareness, and space to feel, without pushing, performing, or needing to “get it right.”

This class offers a space to:
 - Reconnect to your breath and body
 - Regulate your nervous system through grounded, somatic movement
 - Shift from doing to being, moving out of tension and into ease
 - Align with the steady, restorative rhythms of the season
 - Cultivate presence, curiosity, and inner listening

This class is for anyone longing to move more gently, breathe more fully, and land more completely in themselves.

No experience needed. Come as you are.

Venue: The Round Tower, Black Swan Arts, Frome

Date: Monday 8 Sept

Time: 9.30 - 10.45am

Biography:

I’m a certified yoga therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals to reconnect with their bodies, reduce pain, and cultivate presence. My approach blends somatics, yoga therapy, neuroscience, and trauma-informed practices to meet people where they are, offering accessible, inclusive, and deeply human ways into movement and awareness.

After 15 years in Hong Kong, I’ve recently returned to the UK and am now based in Frome, Somerset, where I offer one-to-one sessions, group classes, and workshops both in-person and online.

My teaching is grounded, non-dogmatic, and rooted in the belief that sensing and feeling from the inside out is foundational for healing, autonomy, and agency. I value curiosity over perfection, connection over performance, and presence over hustle, always returning to the body as a place of wisdom.
