Saturday Morning - Somatic Yoga & Movement: The Fascial Body – Connection, Resilience & Wholeness with Charlotte Douglas

Somatic Yoga & Movement: The Fascial Body – Connection, Resilience & Wholeness with Charlotte Douglas

Discover the hidden wisdom of your body’s connective tissue, your fascia, and explore what it can teach us about boundaries, resilience, connection, and wholeness.

In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll move slowly, mindfully, and with curiosity, using gentle yoga and somatic practices to feel how your body’s web of fascia supports movement, connection, and balance.

Through guided movement, reflective inquiry, and subtle somatic exploration, you’ll reconnect with your body’s multidimensional intelligence, learning how to sense, release, and integrate tension while deepening your understanding of yourself as a connected, resilient, and whole being.

This workshop is for anyone curious about the body, movement, and living with greater presence, openness, and ease.

No previous experience is required, just a willingness to slow down and feel.

Biography:

I’m a certified yoga therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals to reconnect with their bodies, reduce pain, and cultivate presence. My approach blends somatics, yoga therapy, neuroscience, and trauma-informed practices to meet people where they are, offering accessible, inclusive, and deeply human ways into movement and awareness.

After 15 years in Hong Kong, I’ve recently returned to the UK and am now based in Frome, Somerset, where I offer one-to-one sessions, group classes, and workshops both in-person and online.

My teaching is grounded, non-dogmatic, and rooted in the belief that sensing and feeling from the inside out is foundational for healing, autonomy, and agency. I value curiosity over perfection, connection over performance, and presence over hustle, always returning to the body as a place of wisdom.
