Thursday Morning - Emergence: Conversations and Music for Mothers with Heather Truesdall

Thursday Morning - Emergence: Conversations and Music for Mothers with Heather Truesdall

Come and join a nourishing morning of music and conversation. We will have space to share our experiences of motherhood and of fitting creativity into our lives, alongside singing together and connecting with each other. No musical experience required!

Through conversation informed by coaching practices, we will reflect on our lives wherever we are on our motherhood journey, have a chance to see how our identity has shifted and what might be next for us. We will build our resilience and confidence while singing and creating together. We are aiming to create a space and time for ourselves away from our every day juggle and challenges, so please no children (although babes in arms are welcome!)

Things to bring/materials required: Please bring a notebook and pen.

Venue: The Round Tower, Black Swan Arts, Frome

Date of event: 15th January 2026

Time: 10am-12noon

 Cost: £20

 No of places: 15

We never want cost to prevent anyone attending our events so please reach out to the class practitioner if you require a subsidised ticket

Biography

I am a mother, cellist, singer, creative workshop leader and a coach. After moving from London to Frome and having two children, I dreamed up and co-created the Emergence Festival, a day long music and arts event in Frome celebrating mothers in the arts and the creative in us all. In September of 2022 I led the team in expanding the festival to three days, including performances, workshops, talks and more. In July of 2023 I began my coaching journey with Guildhall Ignite, and in October of 2025 I received my EMCC Practitioner accreditation. I am passionate about working alongside people to help them create the lasting change they want to see in their lives. I also have an active collaborative practice and work with organisations such as the Bournemouth Symphony to bring creative music into hospitals, community orchestras and schools throughout the Southwest.
