Wednesday Evening - Walking the Pagan Wheel: Imbolc Candle & Craft Ceremony with Katy Little

Imbolc Candle & Craft Ceremony

Honouring Brigid • Returning Light • New Year Intentions

As winter begins to loosen its grip, we gather at Imbolc, the sacred threshold where the light quietly returns and new life stirs beneath the surface.

This gentle, creative, and welcoming ceremony honours Brigid—beloved goddess of the hearth flame, healing wells, poetry, and sacred craft. Imbolc is a time of first sparks and first hopes, when intention becomes devotion and creativity becomes prayer.

Together, we will mark the turning of the year through ritual, reflection, and a hands-on candle-painting craft, creating a blessed candle to carry our intentions into the months ahead.

What to Expect

Opening Circle & Sacred Space
We begin by grounding together and opening sacred space, calling on the elements and inviting the presence of Brigid as guardian of hearth, well, and forge.

Honouring Brigid & the Returning Light
Through guided reflection and spoken ritual, we explore Imbolc as a festival of renewal, inspiration, and quiet courage. This is a time to listen inwardly and notice what wishes to be born.

Candle-decorating for New Year Intentions
Each participant will receive a plain candle to paint with intention. Using colour, symbol, word, or pattern, you’ll create a unique candle representing what you wish to nurture this year. No artistic experience is needed—this is intuitive, meditative, and deeply personal.

Blessing of Well & Flame
Painted candles will be blessed through water and fire, drawing on Brigid’s healing wells and eternal flame.

Closing & Carrying the Light Home
You’ll be invited to take your candle home and light it at Imbolc, moments of reflection, new moons, or whenever you wish to reconnect with your intention.

All paths are welcome. You don’t need prior experience with paganism, ritual, or craft—only an open heart and curiosity.
