Thursday Afternoon - A Journey Through Your Senses with Sarah Devaki
Embark on a unique Yoga workshop, A Journey Through Your Senses. with Sarah Devaki, experienced Holistic & Yoga well-being therapist.
This Yoga class is 108 minutes of a truly somatic experience, inviting you to move beyond traditional Yoga poses and into a deeper connection with your body's innate wisdom. Through a blend of gentle and dynamic movements (Asanas), mindful Yogic breathing (Pranayama), and sensory awareness, weaving together Aromas for mood re-setting, Tibetan and crystal singing bowl experience to help soothe and regulate your nervous system. Specialised meditations and affirmations allow us to move towards a higher consciousness, as we then complete this wonderful sensory journey together with the experience of taste and smell, sipping a warming nourishing cup of Chai tea with guided Mindfulness Meditation.
You'll explore how each of your senses can ground and anchor you in the present moment, enhance your yoga practice and draw you deeper into your sacred heart space, soothing and nourishing your body, mind and soul.
This somatic workshop is designed to help you ease away aches and pains, self-regulating your nervous system and emotions:
See with intention: Drawing your senses within with guided Tratak’ candle gazing meditation.
Smell: ‘Aroma-Reset’- by ritual and awareness, learn how to deepen your sensory experiences utilising the power of flowers - Aromatherapy to soothe your mind and awaken your senses. By stimulating your limbic system/olfactory (emotional processing and nervous system), learn how to shift your mood in an instant, with Sarah’s divine Aromatherapy blends (‘Pure Heart Aromas’, yours to take home!).
Hear with presence: Tune into the sounds of your breathing and the subtle vibrations within your body. Incorporating high vibrational sound healing with Sarah’s Tibetan and master quartz crystal singing bowl and the power to re-establish a loving connecting relationship with your intuition and body’s innate healing wisdom.
Touch with loving gratitude: Learn the ancient art of ‘Do-in’- self-help massage techniques to calm your nervous system and get all the self-love vibes flowing!
Taste with curiosity: to complete your sensory journey, we’ll be enjoying a mindful tasting ‘tea and meditation’ experiencing the simple joy of soul nourishment.
You will be guided through Yoga asana (moves) for somatic embodiment, Pranayama (Yogic breathing), Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) with sound healing, indulging your sense of smell with an Aroma-reset, chai tea and Meditation,

Things to bring/materials required: Please bring a Yoga mat if you like, to pop on top of the mats provided. Wear loose comfortable layered clothing suitable for movement. Bring cushions, a blanket and any supports you need to make yourself cosy. Water bottle and a crystal (optional) if you have one.

Biography:
Sarah Devaki is a Hatha Yoga and heart Meditation teacher, Holistic bodywork therapist, Reflexologist, Aromatherapist, and master Reiki Healer with over 30 years of qualified experience and is also the founder of Pure Heart Therapies & Yoga, based in Frome, Somerset.
Working from the heart, Sarah’s true passion is to inspire and empower her clients by supporting and nurturing them on their healing journey.
I am dedicated to empowering and supporting my client's well-being journey, drawing on a wealth of ancient Yogic traditions such as meditation, creative visualisation, affirmations and breathing techniques interwoven with Reflexology, Reiki and Aromatherapy, to support self-regulation, relaxation and deep healing for modern-day positive living.
