Wednesday Evening - Yoga for over 50s – Future Proof your health with Sarah Reynolds
All abilities and experience welcome
Please come along to one of this taster session where we will practise ‘comfortable and steady’ yoga to enhance health and well-being and to develop strength, flexibility and balance. Practises are selected to support our bodies and minds as we move in to this second stage of our lives. This includes practises to improve the quality of sleep, strengthen muscles and maintain flexibility in joints, considering conditions such osteoporosis, RSI and muscular skeletal issues that we may develop through life. The class will also include natural breathing practises alongside the movements or as part of seated or lying practice. And finally developing the body’s ability to enjoy and heal through a regular practice of deep rest at the end of each class.
What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, (I will have spares) and a blanket or towel or extra jumper; optionally a small cushion; eye pillow or scarf to use to make yourself comfortable for the final relaxation practice.
