Friday Morning - Exploring Chair-Based Yoga with Yuka
In this gentle, accessible chair-based yoga workshop, we will explore a series of simple seated and standing movements combined with mindful breathing. With increased accessibility and modifications that use the chair as support, you’ll be encouraged to experience your body from different angles.
We will also focus on breath work and meditation toward the end of the session. This will give us a chance to pause and nourish ourselves before the upcoming busy festive season. The workshop is suitable for anyone looking for a low-impact approach to yoga and its wellness benefits. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Through regular yoga practice over time, participants can expect increased range of motion, greater strength and balance, and a boost in confidence and overall well-being.
Things to bring/Materials required: Please wear warm, comfortable clothing. A blanket is generally useful toward the end of the class. The workshop lasts 90 minutes, and a chair will be provided. If you would like to place a yoga mat under the chair, please bring one with you (a few mats are available).
