Tuesday Evening - building Resilience with Alice Caudle

Tuesday Evening Building Resilience with Alice Caudle

Resilience- Rest- Rage .

There are plenty of things going on in our world to feel a lot about and a lot of those things seem beyond our control .

How can we build our resilience in the face of it all?

How can we tend our fire to fuel our passion and not…to simply burn us out?

Spend an evening harnessing rest and rage as tools to build resilience ❤️

Together we will explore -

Nidra (deep rest)

A gift carrying the potential to connect us with the magic within and without ourselves, Nidra guides the brain through the same states as sleep and in doing so calms the nervous system and promotes deep rest. Reconnecting with this calm through such an easeful practice makes Nidra a wonderful tool for building steady resilience when the world around may feel mad. No experience, skills or abilities are needed for Nidra, there is no way to “do it” wrong and there is nothing to achieve. Alice has developed a deep Nidra practice over ten years and  trained as Nidra facilitator with her own yoga teacher Mel Skinner in 2022.
And

Creative journalling

Creative journaling allows us to  acknowledge and honour a range of feelings including rage and in doing so we have an opportunity to reclaim these feelings as potent fuel . Accepting the things we can not change is not a simple decision, acceptance is a skill. We can not simply deny rage or breathe our way through it especially when we live in times of great change and a common feeling that our systems are not holding us steady. Through creative journaling we may find ways to express emotions and thoughts which are hard to access in our everyday busy lives. Again no experience, skills or abilities are needed for creative journaling - our aim is to be with the process with no duty to produce.
