Tuesday Evening - Explore True Expression with Vaughan Dagnell

Tuesday Evening - Explore True Expression with Vaughan Dagnell

Have you ever kept quiet to keep the peace? Played small for fear of judgement? Over accomodated other people at the expense of your own voice? Been told your expression of joy, sadness, grief, anger or love is 'too much'?

All these parts of you have a role to play, and have the right to exist. They have the right to be expressed.

What happens to emotions that aren't fully expressed? They still reside in the heart and body, often leading to frustration, resentment, mental and physical health issues.

So let's Explore True Expression!

In a safe, facilitated space, you are invited to

- Move your body: shake, dance, stretch and stomp!

- Make noise without story or words: quiet, loud, smooth, edgy. Let the resonance and vibration of your voice release withheld and stagnant expression!

- Breathe: guided Conscious Connected Breathwork taking you to an altered state of consciousness where we are free from the limiting beliefs and control patterns of the thinking mind. In this safe and facilitated state, we allow self compassion and acceptance. Emotions can flow, insight land, and a rich sense of grounding and self love can emerge.

This is an immersive workshop designed to guide you out of the limitations of the thinking mind and into a state of embodied flow and harmony through movement, vocal tuning, and breathwork.

The journey begins with the physical form. We flow through a hybrid of Qigong, guided movement and freeform ‘anything-goes’ ecstatic dance. We awaken the body, release tension, and shift energy, allowing a natural sense of joy and vitality to emerge. Perhaps this is a familiar space, or perhaps we meet an edge of ‘being seen’ or ‘being allowed to be’.

Next, we explore the power of our voice as tools for self-expression and release. In a playful, supportive group environment, we experiment with sound using the five vowel tones—exploring volume, rhythm, and texture without attachment to how it ‘should’ sound. This practice helps unlock the voice, encouraging a sense of courage, creativity, and freedom as we step beyond words and into pure expression.

The journey then deepens with Conscious Connected Breathwork, a gentle yet powerful technique that supports relaxation, emotional release, and profound inner clarity. Guided to a curated playlist, this breathwork allows you to move beyond thought and into deep presence. In this state of altered conscience we nurture self acceptance, fresh perspective on stuck emotions, forgiveness, spacious self compassion.

A sharing circle opens and closes the workshop, as we co-create a safe space for growth, expansion and simply ‘being’.

This is an invitation to connect with yourself in new and expansive ways—through movement, sound, and breath. Whether you're looking to energize, release, or simply explore a deeper state of being, this is a space for transformation, presence, and self-discovery.
