Friday Evening - Restorative Yoga & Ceremonial Cacao - A time to Soften, Rest & Reconnect with Virginia
Summer invites us outward.
Long sunny days. Time away. Festivals, gatherings, laughter, late evenings, adventures, swimming, travelling, being outside and simply enjoying the warmth and abundance of the season.
And then September arrives.
The days begin to soften, routines return and the energy of the year starts to turn inward. After all that doing, experiencing and being out in the world, we may find ourselves needing something very simple:
Time to rest.
Time to pause.
Time to gently transition from the expansiveness of summer into the quieter rhythm of autumn.
Sometimes we don't need another thing to do.
We need a moment to stop.
To put down the lists, the expectations, the constant thinking and the feeling that we should always be moving towards something.
This afternoon is an invitation to do exactly that.
We begin with a gentle restorative yoga practice, using supported postures, cushions and blankets to allow the body to slowly release tension and settle into rest. There is no pushing, stretching or striving. You don't need to be flexible or have any previous yoga experience.
From this place of stillness, we move into a ceremonial cacao experience.
Cacao has been used ceremonially for generations as a plant ally for connection, presence and reflection. We will share the cacao slowly and mindfully, allowing the transition from physical rest into a quieter, more inward space.
There is nowhere you need to get to.
Nothing you need to achieve.
Just an opportunity to pause, breathe, feel and listen.
Perhaps you are tired.
Perhaps you have been carrying too much.
Perhaps you simply want a few hours where nobody needs anything from you.
Come as you are.
This is a small, intimate gathering created as a space for rest, connection and gentle reconnection with yourself.
